Northern Irish Clowns Attack

Image
What is the source of this poster's twisted concept? Evil clowns anew? Trying to find the "Top Ten Evil Clowns of 2011"? See here . A man has been assaulted by two men wearing clown masks in Donaghadee,  a small town (population about 6,500) in County Down, Northern Ireland.  The town lies on the northeast coast of the Ards Peninsula, about 18 miles (29 km) east of Belfast and about six miles (10 km) south east of Bangor. At about 8 PM local time (2000 GMT) on Tuesday, 22 March 2011 (i.e. 22-3-11 in the UK), two men with baseball bats called to a flat in Barnagh Grove and assaulted the 42-year-old who lives there. The man's arm was broken and he suffered other injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment, according to the BBC . Police said the attackers were wearing "clown-type masks" and black clothing. Donaghadee is known as a significant site from the  Irish Rebellion of 1798 . On the morning of Pike Sunday,  Jun...

Bell Clown

Image
The name "Bell" is one that often is found in twilight language material. Add in a clown, and this is worthy of our attention.  There is news today from Bell, California. An activist who often criticizes government officials while wearing a clown suit could get life in prison for allegedly threatening the Bell city clerk, reports KABC and the Los Angeles Times .  Edwin Thomas Snell is accused of making threats at a recent Bell City Council meeting. Because he has two previous felony convictions, a judge could give the so-called "Clown-suit Activist" life in prison under California's "three-strikes" law. Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore said a Bell City Council member, whom he did not name, said Snell made threats directed at a staff member during a recent council meeting. Prosecutors said the threat was directed at Bell city clerk Rebecca Valdez. A spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office said Snell would be arraigned...

Top Ten Evil Clown Stories of 2008

Image
During the last year, coulrophobic reality was in evidence through events that actually did occur. Here are my top choices for the most sinister of synchromystic clown news items of 2008. (1.) The Joker Is Dead. There is no bigger symbolic story for the year than the death of Heath Ledger on January 22, 2008. The actor would appear in The Dark Knight , which opened 07.18.08, in the most significant and iconic evil clown role of the year, The Joker . (2.) Jokawild Is Decapitated. On July 30, 2008, Tim McLean, who called himself Jokawild , was beheaded on a Greyhound bus in Alberta, allegedly by Vince Weiguang Li, 40. The MySpace head shot of the victim McLean is below. This is where he told about how he called himself "Jokawild," had three tattoos, owned an iguana and loved loud music and motorcycles. Todd Campbell writing of McLean at Through the Looking Glass revealed the victim was a big fan of Insane Clown Posse. Most fans of Insane Clown Posse call themselves "Ju...
