More Random Violence: Ohio and Texas

Details are just coming in, but there appear to be new reports of two random violent incidents today, March 14, 2012.  These seem to be similar to those last week, previously mentioned here . Info, thusfar: Four people have been stabbed in a downtown Columbus, Ohio, building, police say. Three are in critical condition. The suspect, who was later shot by a police officer, is in custody and in critical condition, police say. A man stabbed four people at a downtown office building Wednesday afternoon, March 14, 2012, and was shot by a police officer he lunged at with his weapon, authorities and a witness said. Three of the victims are in critical condition and a fourth received minor injuries, Columbus police spokesman Sgt. Rich Weiner said. The suspect, whose name hasn't been released, is also in critical condition. Update :  On the evening of March 17th, the U.N. Security Council approved (10-0, 5 abstainees) measures including a no-fly zone to try to halt Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi's advances and the use of any other measures necessary to protect Libyans. Canada immediately noted they were ready to send 6 fighter jets to Libya to help enforce the no-fly zone. News services reported that the first strikes will be unilateral ones by British and French aircraft. Those countries' fighters could be in the air within hours of the resolution's approval. It is likely five Arab air forces will take part. US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton  had earlier said  it will mean bombing Libyan air defenses.  On the morning of March 18, 2011, New York time, Libya's foreign minister declared a cease-fire after the U.N. The Washington Monument is not the only famed Masonic obelisk in the United States of America. Texas has the grand San Jacinto Monument, which is actually 15 feet taller than the Washington Monument and said to be the world’s tallest memorial column.
